Glare E. Dumo

Glare is currently in her last semester of her master’s studies at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) in the master program for Applied Computer and Information Technology (specialization of Universal Design of ICT, supervision by Stefano Nichele and Pedro Lind).

The research for her master’s thesis focuses on the usage of an online platform for creating art, using tools from artificial intelligence. The main objective is to provide a way for art creation where any individual – abled or disabled – is capable in expressing their creativity and be satisfied with the result. Glare together with her thesis supervisors Stefano and Pedro wrote a research paper based on Glare’s thesis called An HCI experiment to explore interactive artificial life art has been recently selected to be presented and published for this coming HCI International Conference 2022 which will be held virtually from 26 June to 1 July 2022.

She completed her bachelor’s in IT back in the Philippines and she’s both an art and tech enthusiast who likes travelling, seeing new places and experiencing new things.
