Stefano Nichele

Stefano Nichele is a Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the Oslo Metropolitan University. At his lab, the Living Technology Lab, they study bio- and neuro-inspired intelligence through artificial life and complex systems. The Living Technology Lab is part of the OsloMet AI Lab, where he is the founder and deputy head. He is also the founder and deputy head of the Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI^2) research group. He is an IEEE Senior Member, and founder/board member of the IEEE Norway Section Computational Intelligence Society Chapter. He holds an Adjunct Research Scientist position at the Holistic Systems Department at Simula Metropolitan, part of Simula Research Lab. He is the recipient of the prestigious Young Research Talent award 2019 from the Research Council of Norway (RCN).
